The survival of entrepreneurs during the Covid-19 crisis

Our paper deals with the problem of survival of small businesses in times of crisis Covid-19. The study of the survival strategies adopted by entrepreneurs in the face of the Covid-19 crisis has favored the choice of the theory of resources and skills. Methodologically, the exploratory objective of the study supported the qualitative approach we conducted data collection through semi-structured interviews by recruiting 5 VSEs from a sample of 10. The empirical results show the use of adaptive strategies such as cost reduction, downsizing, changing the way of working, marketing and commercialization tactics. These strategies are complemented by bricolage behavior and frugal innovation, resilience and vigilance. With regarding to government intervention, the results reveal that the support offered remains insufficient according to the business owners concerned.Downloads
